Located at green Kibbutz Afek is Eldad Bahar’s creative space, a place he founded to make his art – fine leather .items
Eldad started dealing with leather during his trips overseas, out of love and interest in handicrafts. There he learned the trade secrets.
Eldad worked in different educational services, giving workshops for kids and youths, and decided to cleverly combine his two trades: he created various original activities and became a successful business with a large clientele, for over 23 years. He teaches leather-crafting workshops for all ages.
At his beautiful studio, he teaches and instructs groups, organizations, and families.
During the workshop, each participant learns creative and flattening techniques to turn the natural raw material into a usable product of their choice, such as belts, purses, sandals, bags, masks and many more!
The studio offers plenty of parking, beautiful surroundings, a warm welcoming atmosphere, hot coffee, and individual attention to each guest.
On weekends you can book group workshops.

Professional Courses & Workshops
The Omanya Studio offers regular creative meetings for those interested in leather creation. Every Sunday and Tuesday you can come to the Omanya Studio, meet with Eldad, and under his guidance, be exposed to handmade leatherwork in a professional and personal way.
As part of the meetings, you can learn about the raw material and their suitability for the various products, about the tools and techniques for working in the field and prepare a number of personally designed products such as bags, wallets, belts, sandals, and more.

Eldad Bahar began his work with leather during his travels abroad out of love and interest in handicrafts, where he learned the secrets of the trade.
Eldad worked guiding children and youth in various educational frameworks and was able to combine the two: to create a diverse and original array of activities and to become a prosperous business with a broad clientele over the last 10 years.
Eldad provides training and workshops throughout the country – activities for families, in schools, in summer camps, and for groups of all ages. Each participant learns techniques of creating and stamping (leather), with which they will turn natural raw material into a useful product of their choosing, such as hairpins, wallets, shoes, or bags.
